Vinicultural Spring in Prague.

Austrian Wineries join their neighbourhood.

pravinum On 3 and 4 April 2005, 150 Austrian vintners will be presenting their wines to an interested audience of specialists as part of the new trade fair PraVinum in Prague. The organiser is M. A. C. Hoffmann & Partner who have made a name for themselves due to their excellent work for trade fairs such as VieVinum in the Hofburg Vienna - in cooperation with the Austrian Wine Marketing Company (ÖWM).

Michael Thurner, Managing Director of ÖWM, regards the concept as the particular advantage of this cooperation: "In the last few years, VieVinum in the Hofburg Vienna has developed into the most important international wine presentation platform of the Austrian wine industry. Just as international decision-makers come to Vienna to experience our wines, in spring 2005 PraVinum brings Austrian wines to our neighbours in Prague. Even now, some vintners are already taking advantage of the proximity to our neighbouring country, but increased efforts should be made to export wines in the next few years. The EU expansion has led to Prague blossoming into an attractive future market for Austria, one which we would like to shape in its early stages".

Based on the established and successful concept of VieVinum, PraVinum will also involve selecting the table presentation. Alexandra Hoffmann-Graski, Managing Director of M. A. C., has a special surprise in store for the vintners: "As a trade fair organiser, we are able to offer participants an attractive value for money package". The hire price per presentation table was set at € 550 (plus tax), the number of participants has been limited to 150 vintners, registration forms are available from calendar week 49 from the organiser or at www.mac-hoffmann.com .

The trade fair which is geared towards a specialist audience is targeted at wine fans from various professions, in particular visitors from the catering trade, specialist trade and importers. Thus, Monday (4 April) will mainly be a day for specialist visitors. ÖWM has organised something special: A direct bus transfer from the towns of Brno, Marienbad, Pilsen and Crakow to the trade fair site Výstaviste (Praha 7 Holesovice) is designed to tempt a large group of interested people to visit PraVinum.
